Honestly, I think both faces look like completely different people… The first is a lighter complexion and more child-like (softer, generally smaller features, save the eyes), while the second looks a bit darker with a less defined bridge and otherwise bulbous nose, and less likely to haunt you after they die.
I guess that's just m way of looking at things, tho. :/The eyes are too… red? Looking great so far, though.

I've seen art styles where the eyes are pretty much flesh-toned like this, so I'm not really gonna stand by it being right or wrong. It has it's ups and downs, as do most style choices.Yeah, the flesh tone in and of itself is fine, but eyes are generally at least a little reflective, so you'll at least want some subtle highlights in there or something.

I wouldn't really worry about the hair. In both, a random dark color was just slapped on so it wouldn't seem so empty with her hair being uncolored. It'll probably be something in between those two. I don't want too dark because then it'll look like she's from a J-Horror movie.
