Since we already posted our favorite videogame soundtracks, let's spice it up with movie soundtracks.
With its lyrical beauty and brutal brass, Conan the Barbarian's soundtrack could switch between the bone-crushing intensity to soft melodic tunes. All of this was characterized with a medieval feel. Transformers the Movie (the 1986 one) was just brimming with energy in its soundtrack. The heavy guitars layered with synthesizers dance with colossal energy. Catchy, energetic, and totally 80's.And The Touch is just great. Suspiria is just grim, tribal, and prog. The eclectic mix of exotic voices, synths, and percussion are just terrific. I thought Lust, Caution had a pretty subtle and cerebral soundtrack, just perfect for the film's plot. There's tenseness and bitter strings throughout. It kind of reminds me of the Caprica and Battlestar Galactica soundtracks that are ace, too. Chungking Express has Faye Wong songs so I like it. And one of the tracks is named Chasing The Metaphysical Express. So that's justGREAT.Now for videogame music I like: there's always Rastan uguuuuuu. The track's name is Aggressive World and that is just a fabulous title. rastan so rastan *soft moan*
I like the Starwars soundtrack. When I heard this one at the end of the final movie, I thought it was pretty epic.
All the music in Scott Pilgrim vs The World.
