Just wanted to let you guys know that progress on Katakijin Ninja is going pretty well. Here's a screenshot
And SHUT UP, I DIDN'T RIP OFF KNYTT!Well…yeah I did. So? Knytt doesn't have Ninjas. This game does. Ninjas are awesome. So it's awesome. A little too cocky there…but seriously, Knytt is so awesome I had to copy it. Anyways, I think I've nailed the enemy AI pretty well. It's intelligent, even though the enemies you see here are just the basic cannon fodder. They are still pretty intelligent. They well try to roll away if you start to combo too much. In groups, they will try to surround you and pwn the shit out of you. They can also roll behind you. They are fairly agressive. They can't block though, and they can't counter as well. As you meet stronger Ninjas, they will be able to block, counter, and even throw shurikens at you from a distance. It might sound pretty ambitious but at this point, its very easy to do. I came up with an ingenious "outside the box" method of using objects that is making everything a relative cakewalk for me.Katakijin is going to be awesome…and HARD. I'm aiming for NGB difficulty here. This means you have to know how to block and evade enemies MORE than you do comboing. I had some people test it and they said the enemies were so unfair it made the game suck - exactly what I wanted (granted I had to tone things down a little).
Tasty background.
I SMELL GRADIENT IN THE BACKGROUND.

STUPID KNYTT IMITATOR
Anyway, if those are your own graphics, which I'm assuming they are, then it looks like its going well. These are 100% original. I had these even BEFORE i played Knytt. It's when I played it that I decided to go with that style.
Not "pre-rendered 2d graphics" anymore?!
:DKnytt with ninja ♥
You ripped of knytt, and the previous level stuff was nicer.
You could make an awesome story game with that…
