A warning for Windows XP users.

Posted by wazu on Dec. 21, 2007, 1:58 a.m.

What I am about to show you is… some old pre-release screenshots of windows XP (apparently, Microsoft forgot to remove them from explorer.exe, so simply decompile, and Bob's your uncle.) showing the development of the OS.

Alright folks, I want you to look at the tray at the bottom of your screen. Look at the start, and those 5 little dot things just to the right of it… apparently, they couldn't decide whether or not to put it in, so here's some of the screenshots of the tray:

Now look at the following banner things (supposed to go on the start menu, but ditched before release) - they refer to Windows Server 2003 as "Codename Whistler Server":

Also, look at the screenshot (no higher res available, this is the only screenshot of the unfinished XP in explorer.exe)

Okay, leave a comment containing conspiracy theories based on my findings…. NAO!

Or is he…

I like XP, and my only wanring is: Don't try it on 64Mbs of RAM, please..?

Ermmm…Not many people bash on WinXP…Besides that, your observations are COMPLETELY wrong. <_<

I hope you ARE trying to be funny, because you're making absolutely no sense.

Now he CAN say that he wasn't serious 'cause everyone expects it :D

V 16 years, 11 months ago

Um, right. Good job at making no sense to me whatsoever and how it's a bad thing is not explained, so I don't exactly care.

Is there some sort of mathematical limitation to the amount of fail one can achieve?

And if so, is this it?

NoodleNog 16 years, 11 months ago

Holy shit this totally means something!

gtvg 16 years, 11 months ago

What's the warning?

E-Magination 16 years, 11 months ago

There is, SJF. It's

warn = fail * stupid / making sense.

I'mma port this calculation to both Python and GML so everyone would be able to see how much this fails.

warn=infinite*infinite/0

Warn=infinite²/0

/0 takes things to infinity, so

Warn=infinite³

That's… above ban level, right?

Alright… back from mah week-long excursion to hell!

Btw, those are different to the screenshot in the toolbar (compare them, nub).

Also, look at the icons in the toolbar, they are different to the current icons, and even if it was classic edition, they wouldn't have that start button.

Speaking of trying to be funny……. Phazon_Yoshi…. wtf. 1/0 is both plus and minus infinity, so I could be infinitely below ban level.

Anyway, I don't have any conspiracy theories, that's why I asked to guys to come up with them (HURRRRRRRR).

Also, @E-Magination:

if "warn = fail * stupid / making sense", then we can re-arrange that.

warn * making sense= fail * stupid

warn * making sense / stupid = fail

and, if my warn is 0, then the following is true:

0 * making sense / stupid = fail

0 = fail

and so, my fail level is 0.

There we are, a dose of pwnage from the self-elected master.
