It's here! The demo of the API that will make your lives 9001x easier for highscores, achievements, friends list, multiple profiles, server list, multiplayer, etc!EDIT: Fortunately you guys reported some good errors, so I'll have to fix some things up for the next demo, including using a POST request rather than a GET, which I can't believe I've been using this entire time. Thanks to everyone who has tried it out so far!You must make an account here (if you havent already) to try out all of the online features!alertgames.net(I think it requires email verification before you can login, but yeah. its easy.)Play it to find out the new name for the community site!I will work on the redesign, and copy all the new information to the new site. The old alertgames.net will remain, but will be changed to only showcase my works! So, I fixed the profile saving, and I fixed the online security. Let me know if you have any more problems with it!Please try it out and give feedback, I worked very hard on it ;) Its EXE, so no need to extract anything! Thanks for trying it out! Feel free to post scores, create lobbies, etc!*******EDIT1: Fixed the registration Issue. I am hosting a match now that you can join in the game.EDIT2: There is a possiblity that it will return a 406 error. rare, but im looking into it.
@ Zac: Dude, that would take a lot of work… i think. I'd have to rewrite a lot.
Yeah. Javascript and/or C#. It's got built-in networking support, but not really anything that AGMAPI offers.
And I still have to give this thing a go in one of my GM games. From what I've seen Javascript can be almost identical to GML, but I know nothing of the base API for it.
This is a really cool project though man! Clockwork and GM Highscores are slow and primitive; Icosa requires games to be run through its own dashboard/launcher. You've got a niche here.Yeah I mean, it also offers a lot of security that Reflect Games doesn't even have. (or at least didnt)
But first I have to reprogram some stuff to use POST instead of GET <_<I got the post request to work so far. Im working on a few other errors and I may have a new demo for tomorrow.
When this starts working perfectly, I have a game I'm almost done with for it.
Awesome. Just let me know when you want to show me a demo, and i'll approve the game. Then typically I give you access to a dropbox folder that has the API goodies in it.
