If all 64digitians had to move to one place

I talked with acid here about people not showing up to the OhJam, and how theres not always a lot of game developers around. So that got me thinking, if game devs and other people with computer professions wanted to move to a place where there is more of that, where would they want to move to?

So assuming that most people here are involved with some computer and tech field, where would you want to move to if you had to pick a place?

There is a bit of tech in the Detroit area, where I live, that is growing ranging from startups to IT to embedded systems used in cars, and while there are some nice places around here, theres not a whole lot to do and frankly the city kinda sucks. (Some people defend it, but they are mostly hipsters and whatnot)

Personally, I think somewhere closer to the west coast of the states would be a nice spot since everything you could want is mostly there. Other possible spots could be places like Texas or Colorado. I would consider other countries, but I dont know enough about eurpoe to really make a judgement.

Im curious where people live and where they would prefer to move to if they could.

Of all the places, Sweden!? I'm starting to think it's a conspiracy. The gov. must be behind this and you are all bots.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Japan, definitely a strong games and tech -place. Personally, someplace not too cold, not too hot with beautiful inspirational nature and little noise pollution. Idk.

The ISS.

More realistically, I'd stay here. Good climate, decent internet connections (And Google Fibre coming to the cities)… No complaints here. :P

Interesting how most people would go to sweden, but I can see why. It seems like people are weird there. haha but really it seems like a friendly place. Germany seems like a safe place thats clean and interesting, but I think their culture is a little different, but when I meet Germans that come over here to the states they say its about the same so theres that. Plus I wouldnt have to be worried about getting shot as much.

I'm not too much into game design as much as software design. But games do require software as well.

@Kilin: Acid said that most of the people he expected that had some programming experience were within an hour distance, but didnt show. Didnt mean to infer they were from 64digits.

I'm sure fiber will find its way to other cities eventually lol

Seattle or San Francisco

Probably a small city/town/suburb an hour out from the actual city that I'd be frequenting most often so I can live in a relatively relaxed environment but also so that I can actually afford to live in those places.

I object to living in the US under any circumstances.

I would love to visit the US, but would really not be interested in living there

Otherwise: Kirkuk or Donetsk

Move to Houston, TX. I heard they have a lot of engineers around.

If it doesn't get to -30C in winter, your city isn't trying hard enough.
