As I am working on some new software for multiple platforms, and I want to give you guys the first sneak peaks, I am curious what phones 64digitian's have?
Here is the poll for you:http://strawpoll.me/2869386Vote so that I know what platform to give out the beta to first!I actually just upgraded to the Galaxy S5 this week, and I have to say… This is the phone that I was looking forward to in Androids. Its speedy, simplistic, and keeps its charge for quite a while. That being said, when switching over phones, I chose to keep only the essential things I need to have on the phone. Since I got my iPad, I can keep those monitoring apps and other more resource-heavy and more work-related apps on that while keeping my phone clean. Works nicely, and everything is finally kept in sync pretty well. I also keep my music on on my iPad, so im not using the microSD, which I think caused some issues on my S3 when it would scan the card and cause a lot of hiccups…Now I'm just hoping that this S5 will last more than 2 years to get my money's worth on it…Anyhow, be sure to vote in the poll to help me get an idea of what platform is in majority here guys!
I voted :)
A feature phone, like 70% of the planet's population.
We're either nerds or poor, most of us have Android phones.
got a samsung s5. best phone ever, fuck the iphone 6. way to fall behind apple :/
Windows Phone. I'm weird.
It appears there is a pretty good majority here.
Apple does a really good job at building hype for their phones, which matches the target audience, which turns out to be the more "average" person compared to the more complicated phones.
Windows phone is also simple and I believe more cost effective, but you'll be the last ones to get the new apps, which if that doesn't matter to you, then you'll have no problem getting this phone. Its kinda the no bs, straight to business kind of approach, which microsoft is more known for.…But I think they need to work on making the OS a little more attractive. It started out looking like an old iPhone 1 with no background customizing and things.iPhone4. It's aight.
I use Android. Because Android phones are cheap. And they allow you to run own code with least effort! Not that I have ever needed that feature, but maybe I will. Someday. Or maybe not, since I dislike Java.
Oh, my phone happens to be LG G2 Mini. It hasn't got any wonderful reviews, but I like that phone… maybe because I paid 200€ for it, but still. Some ancient Nokia phone whose main selling point was a 128x80 color screen. I usually bring it up for comic relief when a small talk gets into the most-recent-apple-phone-anticipation subject, bashing "today's youth".
