Exile Progress Log 4

Tilestudio is a great program… for creating tilesets. Not so much when using it as a psuedo level-editor for 3D games. So, yesterday I started working on my hub-area and cussed a lot, and nearly bro-fisted my monitor.

Then I thought.. "Screw… this…"

Watch this:

While you're waiting for that, listen to a sample of my new collection:

This is a disturbingly short blog… I'll write a long one again soon. Still gearing up for that 64K blog.

Stashed old blog about the level editor. It was made in GM, which was mentioned on the video's page, but I forgot to mention it here.

Regardless, have another vid:

All done this morning. I'm cruising along now…

The enemies in the game look weird. Why the mismatch between the player's fists/swords and sprited enemies? TBH, I really like the fists/swords, and the sprites enemies and stained glass look a bit out of place.

Because hi-res enemies take time to create, and at the moment I'm focusing carefully on the game itself before working on the art. Basically, for the enemies, I'd need to work at 256x256 minimum in order to get a similar quality.
