I whipped up a WIP, and another...

UPDATED AGAIN:

Not another chiptune though. Nope.

I'm overhauling the engine I made for Exile. Got basic floating geometry now. So bridges, towers, etc, are all possible now :P

UPDATED:

Tried to fix it a bit. Can't judge whether I have or not, but give it another listen to anyway:

Oh, it's also twice as long now. Dunno how that happened :3

~~~
Take a listen to this:
And criticize. I'm picking up a lot of tricks from C64 music, and I've been putting them to good use :P
I'd post something more here, but I can't think of much to say….
More blog tomorrow?
Oh. I've finished outlining my story for NaNoWriMo. Aiming for around 70K~100K words. Whether I'll be able to pull it off remains to be seen…
Seiklus OST meets Mission Impossible theme.
Most music from Seiklus was actually C64 music. Either covered or ripped. Sanxion, for example. Most of it made by Rob Hubbard originally. So I'll take that as a major compliment :3
EDIT+: OH. And this:
I'll try a few of those things out Steven. Thanks for that.
Not quite as heavy as your other musics, which is my favorite part about them. Still pretty awesome though, I like the high pitched lead that comes in ~0:45.
Subconsciously, I start dancing around in my chair whenever I'm listening to your music, that can't be a bad thing.
I have not yet started NaNoWriMo.
I have been slacking off and doing absolutely nothing and wasting oxygen.
High five, man. It's all pretty easy so long as you have some sort of inspiration and motivation. It's pretty sound advice to just write and avoid focusing on details or making edits. You'll have plenty of time for edits later, trust me. In fact, you can expect to make between 5 and 10 edit rounds before you're even ready to submit to a publisher.
Technically you only HAVE to write 50k, and the story doesn't have to be finished. But pushing yourself to finish it within the month is a good exercise and should do you a lot of good.
Updated.
On a side note, I love writing… I've got reams of paper here in my room that have fragments of stories on 'em. Nothing complete though. Thought that NaNoWriMo would be good incentive.
We need to make an official 64Digits Nanowrimo blog where everyone gives a little detail on their story and progress.
when i saw the title, i thought it was going to be a game :P
but the extended version was a pleasant surprise anyway. it's awesome as usual. this might be one of your best tracks ever imo. the leads are very interesting and keep me entertained longer than some of the shorter tracks you've done in the past. great job.
now to get back to working on new enemies for my game. i need my game to earn this epic tune :3
I need to stop ignoring your music posts on the first day, I apologize. Your tunes are absolutely fantastic.
These are…the best tunes I have heard in a very long time.
