You are still not getting it, are you?The text input AND button are ONE control - namely the file control. If you do <input type="file"> You get a text input AND a button. You cannot disable only one of the components. You need to do an annoying work around to 'hide' the unhideable button. That work around is to hide the file control, and to use a different text input to trigger the events for the hidden "file" control.
