Finally got my 30th person to donate $10 to me which I'm going to use towards setting up a "Summer '11 Nostalgia Competition". I'm still working out all the finer details but this is what I have going so far:
Official Page:[current prize screenshots]RULESGeneralDeadline: June 21, 2011 17:16 ET (summer solstice)Registration: Open until last day by any one (or teams) any number of timesSubmissions: WIPPrizesFIRST PLACEX-Arcade Tankstick + Trackball - Second PLACEX-Arcade Dual Joystick - Third PLACEX-Arcade Solo Joystick - [… more prizes to come …]
They should be, they are compatible with: Mac/Windows/Linux, Xbox/360, PS1/2/3, Wii/Gamecube, Dreamcast, and I think a few others. I only played Mt of Faith at the ComicCon but they didnt have the english patch. Only thing I remember was almost having a seizure from all the shit happening on the screen lol oh and i was on easy mode -_-
You can map the buttons to any key, so ya I dont see why not.Holy crap I had a dream about this.
The begining of the dream isn't important - I walked out of my house, and I was in a western movie, and a group of random people started fighting me an a martial arts manor, and we were flying around the roof tops and stuff. Then my friend showed up, and turned it into a break dancing battle, which, even in my dreams, I lost badly. The group walked away anyway, and my friend's brother, my room mate, and my g/f showed up too, and we all hopped in a car and drove to some house.Inside the house, run by a guy who looked like a plump mix between Indian and Guyanese. Inside the house was a round table, and at the round table were the three joysticks in the picture here, and there were a group of maybe 20 people around the table, getting ready to cheer people on.My g/f and I setup at one joystick, and my friends setup at the other ones. Then, right as the guy was about to start the match, he asked my room mate "what his name was on the forum". Apparently we had to sign up on a forum to register for the competition (I have no idea how my friends knew to show up at this house to play), so none of us got to play, and he escorted us to the door.As we were leaving, I turned to the guy (he was really nice, and appologetic) and asked "hey, do you know a guy on 64D named Carlos? 'Cause those look like joysticks he was giving away as prizes", and he said, sheepishly "oh, yeah, he's letting me borrow it to do this party".Then I woke up 2 hours earlier than I need to wake up. Then I fell asleep again, and my alarm woke me up an hour before I had to wake up (I love snooze, so I snooze my alarm for an hour). Then I "snoozed" my alarm, and woke up 10 minutes later than I was supposed to leave. (I guess I turned my alarm off)Anyway, yeah, had a dream about those joysticks. =pWell, to be fair, I didn't really try to win either. I just kinda flailed around . =P
Also, you're lucky I remembered your username in my dream. I'm bad with names, especially in my dreams.@Carlos: Mountain of Faith is hard. If you want a hard time on easy mode, try Subterranean Animism. Took me hours to clear normal.
And I'd like to see Touhou on console. >=[My keyboard sticks sometimes, causing me many an avoidable death. Still, doubt I could play with a joystick, but seeing as you're supposed to play a lot of shooters that way (traditional arcade), it might be possible.
