64D Smash Participant Criteria

Well, I'm getting a lot of support on this, even from those who are normally the ones telling other people off for these types of things. =P

So, people have asked me what some basic requirements are. If you would like to participate, you should comsider doing your own sprites. If you cana't sprite worth anything, talk to me, and I might try to work something out. You can get someone else to sprite for you as well.

NOTE TO EVERYONE: I will NOT add every user on 64Digits to this game, apparently. I'm going to limit it mostly to well-known members. For example, most, if not all of the staff members will be on there.

Sprite Animations

Now, if you want to participate, you'll need to provide these sprites:

Standing or idle animation

Walking and a running animation (or else I will simply change the image speed)

Normal attack, mixed with combinations for each arrow key. I may consider "smash" moves, too.

Special attack animation, and extra sprites if needed

On the above note, button combo sprites for special attack (left/right may not be required)

REQUIRED mid-air jump

Damage animation

Anything else you think needs to go here

Dimensions

At minumum, a sprite must be 32x32, and at maximum, 128x128. Average sprites (humanoid, of course) will most likely be something like 32x64, but can also be 64x128.

Any recommendations for dimensions are appreciated.

So if you want to be in, it'll take some work from you. I'll substitute sprites for busy staff members if needed, and we'll run them by.

Also, there will be a stage for each character, so if you like, you can provide your own tiles for me to make a stage with. Nothing too abstract, but I think I'll also have dynamic stages. Yaaay.

Err…I think that's it for now, so it's time for me to get back to work on this.

NOTICE:

Due to number of participants and such, only those who have created games with their characters will be in. For example, Luda as a person will not be in, but rather Luda's ciribot. Not only will it lower the amount of sprites required, it will also make it easier for all of you to NOT come up with a random sprite then and there.

If you don't have a game with a character I can put in, that's too bad. You can still enjoy the game, though. =D

Oh, and do not simply release a game with characters you just made up so you could be in the game. I will disregard all of them.

Also, this game is supposed to be the stars of 64Digits, but I don't really care so much if the game and sprites are already on.

Now that that's been said, a list of games that should be included could be in effect.

NEW NOTICE:

Due to the amount of requests I've been getting, I'm going to have to play a Twisterghost and say members that are not staff OR well-known that ask me will most likely not end up in the game. I hate being nagged, you see, and it's really diverting my attention if I work on every single character there is.

Peace out.

I can't, I tried to make an online Halo game, and it worked until I got to making the warthogs.

I used the Ultimate Mplay engine, it is almost exactly like the server list and such that JakeX has in ST.

Yes, but mplay isn't nearly as powerful as 39dll. That's why it's everyone's ideal choice.

Gotcha.
