Short blog/requesty thing;
So I want to make Credence Filter a platform adventure game. It will have scarce enemies but it will have puzzles and platforming and stuff. Half-implemented is a system for picking up important items, which you can only have one of at a time until later when you get the ability to store an item. Items can be weapons/tools/key items.Bleh, basically, the point of this blog is to ask you guys what some good platform adventure games are so I can play them and study their techniques and concepts. I want to make an actual game this time around.So what are your favorite adventure games? :D
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (and Dawn of Sorrow if you got a DS), Psychonauts, Metroid Series (recommend GBA's zero mission for newcomers), Demon's Crest for snes (GOOD GRAVY I LOVE THIS GAME)
The only Castlevania game I've played is this one for PS3 with super zooming maps and six player co-op. I play as the character with Holy Lightning (Yoko, I believe) because it's the best god damn spell in the game. Played Psychonauts, that game's awesome. I should specify I'm looking for 2D games. Also they can be indie games.
