[DSG] FUCK. [update#2]

Posted by DSG on Dec. 2, 2010, 3:54 a.m.

ok. basically, depths is on my handy dandy flash drive. and now, the flash drive RANDOMLY isnt being recognised by any computer i own. FUCK. THIS. SHIT. ill probly have to send my usb to someone who can extract the data off of it. ill keep you folks updated.

[EDIT:]

No progress. Maybe I'll just start over. Again. loljkidkfuck.

[EDIT:]

OH well, Guess I'll start from 2 months ago. I have to re-program in the ledges…. fuck.

OH, but today, I decided to re-pixel the protagonist. FINALLY Stopped being lazy. He is no longer all black and no longer blends into doors and dark backgrounds. I had to resprite every single animation of him running, climbing, jumping, turning, standing, crouching, etc. In-game, the suit looks much more… suit like. It's got lights and its shiny and looks like armor not just spandex haha

And, I was thinking, it'd only make sense to give him a kind of breathing apparatus. I mean, he is on an alien world.

[EDIT:]

Trying to get as much that I lost back as possible. Luckily, I had a copy of the most recent version of the tile set for this area. Check out his new suit, really does a lot, doesn't it?

Depths as of TODAY:

You guys didn't know about dropbox?

Misconstruct 14 years, 1 month ago

Yeah, thanks TM. Dropbox seems pretty badass.

lol very distinct possibility. But the likelyhood of the service shutting down and my hard drive om nom nomming on my dataz simultaneously are slim.

Dropbox seem to be monetising pretty well, there's no need for them to shut down.

Dropbox has been going for quite a while and it's doing very well. I'm surprised at how many people here haven't heard of it!

Calm down. If you have any light at all you're not dead yet. I you like, I would be willing to try recovering it. I have some limited professional experience in data recovery, and if I can't get it, I know a company that did an awesome job when the company I worked for needed to subcontract a tough flash drive recovery. They charged under $200.

If you want me to try it, say so and I'll send you an address.

This is why I'm going to build a 4 Tb NAS soon so I can do daily backups of my stuff.

Considering he's on an alien planet, why is his head unprotected, heh?

No problem guys, I'm up to 4.5 GB now thanks to you :)

I too am surprised at the number of people who apparently hadn't even heard of it, though.
