Everyone Hates 64digits

HAY, I'M RECYCLING A BLOG

If you happened to have clicked my page, here's a screenshot of a game I'm making for a Poppenkast contest. Three hours is the limit, and I've spent a little over two on it. I need to finish off the level design, but that's about it.

So tell me what you think! (blog updated on June 8th)

Below is the old, dusty entry…

——————————————————————-

Putting aside the deliberate exaggeration in the title, I’d like to say “Hiâ€?. Not everyone hates 64digits, but apparently a lot of people do.

I’ve been lacking the motivation to write blogs frequently. Again. But I think that today I might have found something at least mildly interesting to read about. Last weekend while I was suffering from a severe case of boredom, in a time period about half an hour, I came across some rather… funny things people had to say about 64digits. Never would I have thought that the fruit of near-idle browsing would be a topic for a blog. Some of these quotes I found when I was reading the Game Maker Blog, something I never do. I never read it because of the writers’ clear bias towards a number of things (one of them being 64digits). Other (funnier) quotes I found on sites like Snow Moons. So instead of writing a long boring blog, I’ll just leave you with the snippets of hate I found.

Quote:
64D is just too…meh.

I’ve also decided to quit Snowmoons and return to 64digits. Why, you ask? Because I feel like it.

XD I’m lying, I wouldn’t return to that place, not now, not ever.

-RedChu
Strangely, RedChu has, indeed, returned.

Quote:
Those 64 digit songs are rubbish.

-Phil Gamble
PY, we all know they’re not. *Hugs*

Quote:
The whole “64digits gets hacked againâ€? business has really impacted my image of their service: what’s so great with them if they get hacked every month, by staff members?

-Tuntis

Quote:
I can’t believe how off-pitch that was. Ugly. With low quality mic’s.

Fuckin’ 64D nerds.

-Medieval

Quote:
Isn’t white & nerdy suitable for 64D nerds?

-Medieval

Quote:
It’s more deserving of the YoYo name than the GameMaker owners, it’s 64digits.

On the fourth the site was taken down because a member had found an exploit, again. Sadly it is now back online.

-Phil Gamble

So there you have it. These are only some of the many things people have to say about 64digits. Funny how people can channel so much hate towards a web site.

So why do people hate 64digits so much? I don’t know. Maybe because 64digits is better than the other communities, that’s why.

I think Phil has some severe issues he has to work out.

Also, most of those notes are about down time. That's old
Meh, nowhere did I say that I was going to have to newer quotes.

But you're right about prodding.

These quotes prove 64Digit's greatness… everyone outside this site is an uptight prick. D=

My first instinct upon reading these was to look up which ones I had banned, thus creating a negative impact. The verdict? None of them.

I have to say I miss elitist attitudes…

It's a shame, flashback, considering they're all ungrateful little bastards. You did change RedChu's hit count title, though.

Sad but true.

You know what they say - the things people hate most are the things they are most jealous of. It makes me so proud ^_^

@DesertFox - Well, I suppose that's a very positive way of looking at it. ^_^

Optimists are more fun than pessimists. Now I'm sure I spelled that wrong, but oh well…
