.:Silent Night:.

The final version has been released now on YYG, I did all the whole e-mail to YYG and all that for the competition entry.

http://www.yoyogames.com/games/show/20301

So clicky, check it out, don't worry because I'll upload it to 64Digits soon too.

The game package includes

- Fully working client, with all found bugs fixed

- Level Editor, that loads old level formats(from my previous blog), now also includes more textures/ability to texture the level.

- C++ powered server, which takes a minimal amount of memory and CPU to run, so you can easily run both a server and client on the same computer.

- Map pack included, which has 4 levels all ranging in how many vertexes they have (the largest is around ~1900 vertexes, lagged for me)

So thats it, it's all finally done, another game under the belt eh. This means I can probably get back to work on my other projects (which I know anger2headshot will be pleased about).

And well… anyone wanna play a game soon?

.:Money:.

But on a general interest sorta topic, if you did win the YYG competition and the $1000 USD, what would you do with the money?

Buy rocket launchers to take down YYG?

I'm thinking of buying computer parts and building my own, that way I can get a way faster computer for less AND I can choose what OS I put on it. Damn you Vista

Fill up my gas tank. Once.

Polystyrene, how large is your gas car/truck to take 1 grand to fill up the gas tank?

Also, what would I do with the money? Probably donate it to charity… the "I needs a new computer" charity too, I heard they do a great work.

Vista is the suck of suck. Wait until they get everything compatible and all that.

Poly would begin to spray it everywhere before he decided to make a gas station explosion, he wouldn't have a chance to spend the rest

@ultim8: Ahahahah, it's when they get more games that are compatible with Vista. Watch out, because there are a growing number of games ONLY PLAYABLE ON VISTA. =O

(config.ini)

[main]

if OS(Vista_w/e_w/e_w/e)

Play()

Else

show_message("Screw you, oldfag, you're a noob. NOOB! NOOOOOOB! Give M$ YOUR MONIES!")

(end config.ini)

No, really, that's been done. Though that was the GML version…

I've got Vista, though I use Linux, too. (64Mb RAM usage F T F W.)

Vista is fail, and no I didn't sit for two second with it, I stayed with Vista for roughly two months, but I decided XP was more stable and less annoying.

If I won the 1 grand I would sell it on the usd black market, 5,000,000 Bolivares would be a great addition to my pocket.

@Josea: XP is less annoying, by far, there I agree with you. However, I guess it's a matter of tolerance. Most people have a low tolerance, I guess. =/

Like I said, I've been using it for 5 months. I've had no problems, and no regrets. Downgrading is out of the question for me. What is it? Do few people have a high tolerance or does everyone else have a low tolerance? It could be because I have an uncle in the computers business. His support transfers to me, I guess. Even so, I've never hated Vista, not even disliked it.

Dude, low tolerance is quitting after a couple of days, I used Vista for two months and that thing was driving me crazy, I was about to throw the computer out the window.

Not to bust your bubble but, the game has to be instant playable to win…
