Previews of DoE

With one week put into the revival of Dawn of Envy I have some news on the progress. One goal of mine was to re-program the entire engine to optimize its speed and make the engine more versatile so more features can be easily added. Here's a screenshot of what I have so far:

What you are seeing is a mass production of workers gathering resources and the barracks are producing Rangers (Elite form of bowman). One great notable thing to consider is all of this is being done with a perfect FPS rate. It never dropped. With the fog of war system, 100+ trees in the area, the path finding and task management in each unit, the Production Queue's in progress in the main fort and the barracks (Only the selected building shows the queue list and production rate. There's two others not seen in the screenshot)… Everything runs smooth. I might also add this is not just occurring in my area, but in the enemy territory as well. I'll try to post more FPS tests with results appearing on screen next time. A demo should be available in a month or so if everything goes to plan.

Things I'm working on today:

- Adding food and farming

- Mini-map for left side of hud (see empty space in screenshot above)

I'm having a problem though and I'm wondering if anyone can help me on this. I need to find out how to delete a value in a queue that's on the bottom of the list. Queue's work last in first out if im not mistaken. Take a look at my screenshot above and look at the production log in the hud. If I right click my Ranger button it takes a Ranger off the list, but It takes a Ranger on the top of the list off which stops the production of that unit. I want to make it so it takes a ranger that is not in production (for example the one listed on the bottom of the list). Hope that made sense. If you can help please do. I'd appreciate it.

Is it any good? I googled it and it seems that they've remade it. I've honestly never heard of it before, original and remake… xD

It's decent. Chrono Cross is better. But obviously you'll want to play CT first for story's sake.

"Chrono Cross is better."

LOL.

Chrono Trigger > Chrono Cross.

If you try to argue I will have to facepalm.

That does look pretty amazing. I can't wait to play it.

@skinnyeddy

The new release won't be out for awhile. I have alot to add to it. I have to make sure all of the human race is completed for the first demo and all features must work properly for both the player and enemy. Each release will have a new race added, somewhat like warcraft. You'll eventually see some fantasy things. If I get the basic human engine completed then everything else will be implemented much faster. So, first release will be taking the longest. Have to set a good foundation on this project.
