Entering the dark side...

I have in my hands, a Windows 7 Ultimate installation disk. I'm looking at my Windows XP SP3 laptop and wondering…. should I do it?

I'd like your thoughts on the new OS. I heard it's better than Vista by far. I downgraded from Vista Basic to XP SP3. I was disappointed with Vista. Will I be disappointed with Win7 Ultimate?

Because it's vista.

No, you probably won't be disappointed. It has the look of Vista, but acts like XP. Meaning there's very few problems.

Go for 7.

Vista hasn't given me too many issues, except for one thing in particular. It's a monster. It eats hard disk space. Its kernel size is demonic.

7 is the logical decision.

Also it uses less resources than XP. So win-win.

I've been using Windows 7 for a year.

I'm debating over something. Being a computer science student at my university, I can download a free copy of Windows 7 whose license will last as long as I'm a student.

Eh. After that, I don't want to lose everything due to a surprise license revocation.

DO IT but back up your installation files first cuz you have to do that from xp to 7 but if you have vista then you'd not have to worry but who bought that lolol

Okay this is the answer:

Windows 7 is vista the way IT SHOULD BE. Theyre very similar, but 7 is much better.

Well. I didn't buy Vista, per se.

Well technically I did. It was the default OS on my laptop which I've been using for ages.
