Entering the dark side...

I have in my hands, a Windows 7 Ultimate installation disk. I'm looking at my Windows XP SP3 laptop and wondering…. should I do it?

I'd like your thoughts on the new OS. I heard it's better than Vista by far. I downgraded from Vista Basic to XP SP3. I was disappointed with Vista. Will I be disappointed with Win7 Ultimate?

Windows won't just suddenly uninstall itself if the license runs out. It just won't be able to validate and do Windows updates and stuff.
