Pokemon White

Posted by Glen on March 9, 2011, 1:31 p.m.

Just got a copy of the new pokemon game today. I've upgraded from Sapphire to White so… I'm not used to seeing pokemon in 3D. Wtf. This is craziness. Doesn't feel the same. I like it, but at the same time, it's not pokemon anymore.

The game is full of effects and scenes that make use of camera movements and the 3D perspective. It's a little much, but it's cool I guess. Haven't gotten that far, just started. Literally bought it 30 minutes ago. Has anyone got a copy for themselves yet? What do you think of the new generation of pokemon?

It looks pretty cool from what I've seen on YouTube. But it just lacks that feeling now. I still prefer the R/S/E days, and any Pkmn games before that compared to these new ones.

Last Pokemon game I played was Pokemon Gold or Yellow or whatever that shit was called on the GameBoy Color…

Useless information that will not add anything to this blog, bye.

My favorite was the Crystal/Silver/Gold generation. I loved the feeling of that series.

Yellow, Crystal, and Sapphire will always be the best.

I got black, so far I have 2 badges. I'm liking this generation more than the previous two, especially ruby/sapphire. Something about ruby/sapphire just felt bland. I wont be able to properly compare it to soulsilver until I beat both soulsilver and black =p

As far as ratings go though, it's tied for highest spot on metacritic with heartgold/silver.

I still have crystal, silver, red, and blue.

Lmk.

Theyre making the game as add as possible, because they can and because of the audience.

I never went past sapphire, so i wouldnt know. Maybe ill emulate it to try it and make nintendo angry because they think i would buy it if i didnt.

One of my friends got black, so I purchased white. Plan on beating the game and trying to fill up this pokedex. I've only done that twice before and it was on Blue version and Sapphire.

Is black/white a remake of sapphire/ruby? I'm confused. Perhaps it's just me being stupid.

Black/White introduces a whole new region called Unova. New pokemon/people/places. The whole game looks like a GM 3D game full of billboards. None of the pokemon are in true 3D. And all the buildings look like one of our GM fake 3D engines.
