I'll give it about a B
Grade for Microsoft Conference:DGrade for Sony Conference:BGrade for Nintendo:B+Also, I think that this E3 didn't have much in terms of exclusives for each console, it was quite dissappointing.Lastly, what are you looking forward to playing the most?My list(No particular order):Gears of War 3, it looks like a blast to play online with friends, it's co-op mode, horde especially.
I have a whole lot more to add to this list, but it'd be too much. :p Minecraft for 360 :p Uncharted 3 Battlefield 3 Assassin's Creed Revalations
My list, in this order:
Rune Factory: Tides of DestinyZelda: Skyward SwordKid Icarus: UprisingSonic GenerationsAnd maybe Animal Crossing if they ever decide to go back to the GC style (particularly the music, which I loathed in the other Animal Crossing games). Many other games were definitely cool, but I don't want to go buy the console for them. And…HOW YOU GET MULTIPLE YOUTUBE VIDEOS?I think I'd either rate it a B+ or an A- based solely on Nintendo and a few previously announced games for pc/360. Microsoft was completely meh, but the Wii U was better than I expected despite the name.
Plus Nintendo announced/previewed so many games I want, Luigis mansion 2, mario kart 3ds, zelda, free zelda four swords, animal crossing (to an extent), pikmin 3 on the wii u, various multiplatform games, nano assault, super mario 3ds, the kirby games, heroes of ruin, kid icarus, paper mario, super smash bros, wow this list is longer than i expected, etc. It's just too bad microsoft didn't announce any new games I'd want to play, except halo which is in the "i'll play it, but I don't really care about it" category.Compared to last year, this e3 had a lot more in terms of interesting games to me.@Kabob Only good thing about Halo is Custom games to me, everything else is passable. To me, it seemed like this E3 had tons of multiplatform games, but not many exclusives that I'm interested in.
Also, I'm a little bit skeptical about Halo 4, I have a feeling it's going to be the exact same as Halo Reach and it's just a cash in on the franchise.@Kilin Idk how I'm able to get multiple youtube vids, I just type,I just find it sad that a company like microsoft, as large as it is, is only able to produce one intersting first party game for its platform. Need I remind you that MS has the PC, Windows Phone and the 360. But all its energy is going into the Kinect. If they where serious about anything they make, they would release good killer apps for each platform and give Sony and Nintendo a run for there money.
They are a software company first and foremost, so give me software, not frameworks!Well I actually love Halo 1 Custom Edition for the PC, but theres nothing in the newer games that competes with the fun I had on custom maps like coldsnap and yoyorast so I've lost interest in it.
And also Kinect is just silly imo, I wouldn't buy kinect games even if the kinect thingy was free =p Almost all of the kinect games are games I wouldn't buy even with normal controls =/ Not sure what microsoft is thinking at this point.Like I said, I don't generally follow E3s, but this one looks like the worst one I've seen so far. What am I looking forward to? Journey. That's all.
Everything else looks like a fundamentally stupid idea or an unnecessary sequel.* Sometimes trailers themselves look ridiculous - Darksiders 2 looks like the trailer is meant to show how glitchy the game's physics are, and the end of Uncharted 3 shows off some choppy collisions mixed with bad modelling and a sequence in which you escape drowning using a series of QTEs - oh hey, a spiritual sequel to Dragon's Lair. Oh well, at least it's probably actual gameplay footage.Okay, I think there was one trailer for some game which I actually liked (apart from Journey), but I don't remember what it was. **Oh, and there's Wii U, did I already mention how stupid it is?* Yes, even Zelda: Skyward Sword looks like nothing interesting. At least most of the previous titles tried some innovation or a new graphics style. And there's… Halo 4? Just when you thought the nightmare was finally over. Thanks a lot, Microsoft.Actually, I don't blame Microsoft. I blame the fanboys. Fanboys are, after all, the main reason why there are no original titles whatsoever, and instead, we get unnecessary sequels people are gonna buy anyway. Even if they complain "it sucks" afterwards, the money will flow.** I think it was either Bioshock Infinite or Frogger 3d.Well if its for DSi it should be on 3DS too =]
In their defense, Cesque, the lack of innovation you see in Zelda games is because Nintendo wants to keep the nostalgia and comfort zones where they are now. And if you didn't notice (or rather, since you didn't notice), Skyward Sword did try a new graphical style.
If they went too far to be innovative, Zelda games wouldn't sell like they do today. It's that dungeon-crawling, bomb-throwing, eye-slashing, hookshotting experience that Zelda fans like. Changing it would probably not attract any more fans. They've got a solid foothold after all.Anyway, it's not the first game I'd buy. In fact, I'd wait a while after it came out because my excitement for Zelda is a little lacking lately, so you can at least see you're not getting a super-biased opinion.@Cesque
There's actually some games that have neccessary sequels, like Assassin's Creed, for example, it's story is so big and it stretches over centuries. Also, I liked Assassin's Creed's trailer the best out of every trailer I've seen at E3, but you might have to understand what's going on with the story to like it.I would say Gears 3 is somewhat neccessary to finally answer some of the mysteries in it's story. But after Gears 3, I don't want any more sequels to it, even though I know that there will be.
