So I've been getting down to work on my game, and i was wondering if there's any suggestions you might have for it, besides the fact the game's graphics are shit.
Here's some pics of the new menus:
Here's some stuff that some people requested a while ago:Now, you can tell where you were shot from by the blood that smears onto your screen, while most shooters in the gaming industry have this, i've oddly never seen this feature in a game maker tds before, so I'm interested in hearing some feedback about it:
Next small feature I've added is a Halo-style overshield, requested by Alert.(Looks 100x better in-game tho.)
Both features should make the game feel much easier to play, and much more like a pick up and play game.I've also made the Rapid Fire Rifle(the assault rifle you start off with), shoot a little faster, and gave it a small damage boost, which makes the gun feel much better and much more fun to use.Another thing is, that I've made the AI much smarter, one of the new things they do, is that they try to stay near you whenever you're the last two left, so that should also make the game much easier to play. =DAlso, gonna try to include an auto-updater for the next beta, so you can get the latest build of the game instantly. So any suggestions, or anything that doesn't involve mentioning my shitty graphics? =D
ah, the current build is not out yet, if you want, there's still the old build from my public
No one else besides me has the current build of the game, right now.EDIT:I was reading the comments of the link I posted, now that I've read over them, they were actually all surprisingly positive, despite the thousands of problems with the game. It actually makes me kind of anticipate the next Alpha release. =Dbetaalpha I had 3 months ago. It's no where near as polished or as fun as the current one, but it's the best I can do right now.I don't think he's an ass by disappearing, but his absence is strange.
I would offer to work on graphics if I wasn't tied down with issues of my own :/ .Also a suggestion for the next update; add pet wolves! :>Can have dragons akimbo?
I don't know. Whenever I play a TDS, I just think to myself that I'd rather be playing a first person shooter. The only way I might keep playing is if it had a really really awesome story line that sucks you in, really good graphics, novel and interesting gaming concepts/mechanics and something like multiple endings . That might get me playing it. ^_^
Well, the game's story line is pretty good, lots of plot twists and variety to keep you interested, there's new enemies almost every mission, there's also stealth parts, huge bosses that can destroy the entire map, vehicle mission, some rpg elements and more crap that I really want to be a surprise when you play. It also has
really amazingly shit graphics, there's also a couple of game mechanics that have never been in a gm tds before. Some missions feel like a shooter, while other parts feel kind of survival-ish. I thought about multiple endings, now you're encouraging me to make them even more. The game is about 5 hours long so far, but the game is far from done. and that's about all i have to say.Lookin' pretty good. I really like the way that blood looks.
So in my videos, should I start referring to the public build as an alpha build, then?yup, you might as well, I tell ya hwat.
