Yeah, I agree that the map doesn't quite fit the rest of the visual style… I second Baltirow on making non-visited rooms transparent, and then maybe use duller, darker colors, ones more in keeping with the rest of the graphics. And/or maybe just make the whole thing slightly transparent.
LunchTime is not impressed.
Looks fantastic, I always enjoy some good pixel art.
