The Elder Scrolls Online

So, The Elder Scrolls Online. I'm pretty sure everyone thought this would happen eventually. At first I was pretty skeptical about this game, but as more information has been released, I can honestly say that this is the game I'm looking forward to the most in the near future.

One of the big things that I was most upset about is that MMOs are usually in third person, and the Elder Scrolls has always been a first person series. Apparently, you have the option to play in first person as well in the Elder Scrolls Online. That made me as giddy as a schoolgirl.

Also, hasn't everyone wanted an Elder Scrolls Game that took place in all of Tamriel? I sure did. This is now reality.

Here's a video about it:

What do you guys think? Looking forward to it as much as I am?

This game is going to be terrible and on top of that drive Bethesda into bankruptcy. They'll sell all the TES and Fallout rights to EA Games who will do everythig in their power to make all future installments as mediocre as possible.

Red Dead will inevitably have a sequel in 2014/15

Doubt it. Those years will belong to GTA V if it turns out any good, and they'll ride that pony until its legs break.

And what with everyone adapting to the new console tech by then, it may be even longer, but I hope to see one.

Then again, it was perfect as is, might as well just leave it be.

MMO, you just stated the worst case scenario. The death of gaming follows soon after this.

On the topic of MMOs, LAR, tell me your Tera name so I can add you.

But GTA V is coming out this year. And once the new hardware hits (and if GTA V doesn't sneak onto it somehow), Rockstar can't just turn around and make another GTA after 5, and they don't have that many other recognizable IPs, so who's to say Red Dead won't show up in 2014/5? I would say it's infinitely more likely than another Max Payne or LA Noire.

It kinda seems more likely that rockstar will create a new IP, to me. I mean, the original Red Dead(Red Dead Revolver), came out in 2004 and 6 years later, they finally made Red Dead Redemption. Max Payne 2 came out in 2003, then nearly 10 years later, Max Payne 3 came out.

it seems as though Rockstar likes to take huge breaks with most of their franchises. seems more likely that they'll make a new ip. Either a new IP or they'll have to do a remake/spiritual successor to that lackluster State of Emergency game.

What I meant by "Those years will belong to GTA V" is that sure it'll come out on the current gen consoles, but it'll live well for a loooong time (if it does good). That being said, Rockstar will probably focus on updates and DLC in that time- I definitely see it happening with this one. Maybe not for a full two years, but a while.

Then again, that could give them time to work on, like JID said, a new IP, or a sequel of some sort. But Rockstar takes. Their. Sweet. Time.

They can afford to take their time.

Nearly every game they put out sells over 500,000 copies.

And that's an ass number.

We all know how high it really goes.

True, 2014 is definitely too early after making a game as large as GTAV, and there's DLC. But there will definitely be a new red dead further down the line, maybe 5 years from now, but there will be.

A new IP would be the best though.
