So a while back I applied for a Dell Preferred Account, and got approved for up to $1000.
Awesome, until I tried to use it. Been nothing but headaches.I'm sure with a half dozen more phone calls to Dell I'd be able to use it, but I'm lazy and have other options.Sooo, I applied for a $2000 loan with Navy Federal. And got approved. Hopefully this will be less of a headache than the Dell shit. But anyway, here's what I'll be getting:HP Pavillion dv6tseComponents * • Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit * • Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-840QM processor (1.86GHz, 8MB L3 Cache) with Turbo Boost up to 3.2 GHz * • 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) HD 5650 Graphics [HDMI, VGA] - For Quad Core Processors * • 8GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm) * • 640GB 7200RPM Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection * • Microsoft(R) Office Starter 2010 * • No additional security software * • 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery (standard) - Up to 5.25 hours of battery life +++ * • 15.6" diagonal High Definition LED HP Brightview Widescreen Display (1366x768) * • No TouchScreen (includes HP TrueVision Webcam) * • Lightscribe Blu-ray ROM with SuperMulti DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support * • Intel Wireless-N Card with Bluetooth * • Backlit Keyboard with Fingerprint Reader
building your own computer will be far far cheaper with far far better components. Just sayin.
Obviously. But obviously I'm in the Navy, thus obviously desire a laptop for obvious convenience. Obviously.
I didn't read the specs carefully so I didn't realize the only thing that's showing that it's a laptop
* • 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery (standard) - Up to 5.25 hours of battery life +++Besides that there really is nothing that points that this is a laptop. Obviously.Touche
why the hell do you want 8gb of ram :I I barely use 2.5gb on my 6gb mega desktop computer XD
but 8gb on a laptop? death to battery. 4Gb should be good.I have a pavillion dv7, its pretty good. The only problem has been with the brightview screen getting a tiny bit of dust inside it, but they might have fixed that issue in the past few years.
Get 4gb of RAM. i7? i5 should be enough. 5650 with 8gb of RAM/i7? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
LOL
If you want to be retarded, go ahead and waste your money.Edit: HP?LOLOLOLOLOLOL
My laptop lasts for about 1 hour on batteries :/
Mine too, but that's because it's Vista x64 on a freaking Pentium >:l
Mine lasts 3 hours if I'm not playing games, but it is old + 17 inch screen.
