Its better to watch.

Some simple death animations, wavering grassy fields and improved trees that look less funky.

Also added a little score ticker for the two sides in the top. Although most of the time its pretty one sided even though they have the same amount of units.

Newer demo here

So now you get to watch them hustle, stab and die right on your home computer, yay.

Well now what about the game aspects? Well I wanted to at least get the battling system down. I still have to work out ranged units, then set up a system of squads or groups that you can give orders to.

I've already scribbled out the basic equipments, stats, and other fine and dandy numerical stuff that makes these kind of games work. For now the units all have 20 hp and deal one damage with 50% chance of hitting.

When you have commands, you'll be able to make your weakend units retreat, as you cannot revive dead units.

Haha, this is entertaining somewhat. I like this, I'd like to be able to actually do something though.

By the way. I had Brown:3 Blue:1. Then it went to Brown:3 Blue:10…

Err…

GM's rand-a-bility is lacking and tends to repeat itself. Once they have variable stats and hp things will turn out differently. Once I get ranged units programmed in then I'll start making a game of this.

Browns do win. They won twice in a row for me.
