Hey guys, no more exams!
Anyway, I just wanted to put it out there that these exams are especially important for me because my score determines whether I get a scholarship next year and ultimately how much/how little debt I go into from next year on. So in that regard, studying is important.Looks like I'm pulling off 365 days of Christmas avatar this year :)Did a quick mockup earlier for v3, pretty much just a new skin for v2 since I'm not up with the features of v3. And I just realized it's completely missing the left sidebar and I can't find a way to fit it in nicely, but oh well, the idea is there. In other news: I have approximately 3 months off between high school finishing and uni starting, which is going to be 3 solid months of drinking and partying I suppose. In my down time I'm attempting to learn how to code for the iPhone. Started with a few simple things but I'm roughly got my head around the strange syntax of objective-c, struggling a little bit with some of the object-oriented methodology, but I'm getting there. No screens or anything cool to show since it's mainly behind the scenes codey stuff, I'll post some screenshots of stuff once i make something cool. :)I haven't spoken to most you guys for ages, I take it everyone's sort of moved on from GM by now (not that this site was super GM oriented earlier). What sort of programming languages (if any) are we all working with now?kthx.EDIT: Sorry for stretching the page….ArcaEdit: thumbnail'd
That 'skin' looks nice, although I am not sure if it would work well for 64Digits.
I'm mainly using GM for quick things, and I'm learning Java and PHP a bit as well. my site right now :P
I still use GM because im stubborn and it works and is quick and easy. (im also not going into game development, so its perfect for me)
the design looks nice, but i agree it doesnt work with 64digits. pretty close though i think, but then you just end up with v2/3 when you add the left pane XD.Yay iPhone stuff. Obj-C in XCode is uber-easy once you get used to it.
Myself? I've been doing C/C++ with DirectX and OpenGL, C# with XNA, Python, Obj-C for iPhone, and Java with Android. Whew. Also, lots of stuff in Flash. That's pretty good-looking. Start a rogue website and I'll ditch 64digits and move over :)
(call it "64 digits" with the four drawn to look like a small wing on the "6"… get it?)I like your mockup - it's very clean. However, I have yet to see a v3 screenshot that looks better than v2. Why do we have to change the site's appearance?
Great mockup, I like it.
