Stage 3-1 "Technological Event Horizon / Secret Base Laboratory"
- a laboratory setting within the baseStage 3-2 "Time For Innovation! / Laboratory Storage Under Base"- a storage facility with tall stacks of boxes and crapStage 4-1 "Spiraling Fall Into Madness / Subterranean Tunnels"- underground cave tunnel settingStage 4-2 "At The Foot Of The Buried City / Great Gate"- still a tunel, but with more darkness, also, a large rustic stone gate that is closedThere are six more entries between Stage 5 and the Extra Stage…
If you do use Duckman's background, I would advise making the tile a little bigger, tiling the tile within the new size, and making several larger bricks to break up the repetitiveness a little
If you think about it, a close up of a leather handbag kinda looks like a desert wasteland…I posted this above in an edit a few hours ago, but people stop checking stuff it isn't updated in the activity feed, so I posted it here.

Perhaps a mix. The tiled backgrounds scroll down relatively quickly, but the ones that aren't would scroll down at like one pixel per ten frames.
Here's the wasteland background:
Seamless in any direction. Man, that took me way longer than I thought it would.Oh, excellent. It will do well. I'll just sprite a sort of building thing onto a copy of it and scroll it into the frame at the end of the stage :)
I like it, thank you very much~Oh look. A close up of a leather handbag.
