A Progress Inventory

Turns out that 60x45 rooms are too large, especially if there's almost 200 of them.

I added a new alternate battle menu that allows you to issue commands to the entire party at once.

Pressing the L button during battle will display a screen that shows you buff and status information of every entity on the field.

Pressing the R button will bring up a combat log.

Here's something in RPG Maker:

On the subject of Lunacy Star, retrofitting it with Lunacy Star 2's databasing is going well. The HD graphics facelift is another story.

Gensokyo Quest?

WHERE ARE THE TOUHOUS?

colseed 11 years, 4 months ago

the title bar says Gensokyo Quest, and the locations have Gensokyo names, but there are no touhous in sight

i can only deduce that all the touhous have gone missing and it is the player's quest to retrieve them

(and then get danmaku'd into the ground as thanks)

60x45 rooms
Would this be referring to the room dimensions by tiles? 'cause then I'd think it would depend on tile size -_o

Cirno is first stage boss. Mystia instigates that fact. Reimu's not at the Hakurei Shrine despite a party going on there, so go find her.

Other Touhous that appear in some from and are fightable include: Chen, Youmu, the Saigyou Ayakashi, Murasa, Lily White, Letty, Hong Meiling, the Three Fairies, Daiyousei, Flandre, Aya, and Kanako, and that's just during the first three "stages." To list those who merely appear would drag on and on.

The playable characters are the characters my players used.

GQ was originally a text RPG that I GM'd over IRC.

And yes that's by tiles, the tiles being 32 square.

Please finish this game.

Taizen Chisou 11 years, 4 months ago

Oh, I intend to finish all three of these games.

GQ is technically ahead though cause I can use so much stock material.

That and there's actually about 50 minutes of gameplay content to go through. I'm only in the very beginning of the second stage, though, in which you go through Mayohiga and into Hakugyokurou.

Ever played Touhou Mother? You just gave me a nostalgia trip by showing this. Also made in RPG Maker.

Taizen Chisou 11 years, 4 months ago

I have not, though I attended a Let's Play of it a long while back. I stopped watching before the final though.

GQ is basically an RPG like any other, just based in the Touhouverse, and dealing with a number of OCs. It was a lot of fun for me to run, but school and work got in the way for it to be an actively involved deal.

It's a shame, because the initial party of players only got midway through Stage 4.

They had reached Level 31 and played for a cumulative 50 hours, which is probably more than the adaptation will last for.

When the game becomes more than Wander Around A Bunch of Maps, I'll have an infodump prepared.

Well if you're playing off of Touhou, you have the power to do anything you want, call it an "incident", and suddenly have a passable story that nobody will question or even pay attention to.

Hmm… i feel like the characters in the battle screenshot are a bit too high up and should be more in the middle of the screen. it just feels like there's too many things on the screen or that there is a lot of extra space at the bottom.

never liked RPGVX the dungeons look really boring with it's simplistic maze-like design. the things i could do in RPGXP were way greater looking and more interesting in terms of design. i got crazy with the dungeons in some of my RPGXP projects and had tons of puzzles and movable objects, etc. it was a lot more than what you'd typically expect from an RPG Maker dungeon.
