Skyrim!

I'm so psyched for it.. I pre-ordered in like… March. And now it's only 20 days away.

So right now I'm doing some hardcore coding for S4D until they show 45 minutes of never before seen publicized gameplay at 1:05 EST on Spike (which I only get black and white video of, no audio :P). The way this hardcore coding works is I have a list of tasks that totally need to be done. And I have a timer that is just begging to beep annoyingly at me. So I give myself 30 minutes to run through each task as quick as possible.

I mean, I can still iterate from there, but so far my initial arbitrary magic numbers have been working out great! I've got… 1 task done! And now I'm posting here probably to procrastinate in a situation where I've already tried to keep out procrastination :)

I managed to get Morrowind running on a 98 :P but the stock graphics were actually better on the XBox than PC because it had better lighting or shaders… I just know it looked smoother when half your face was lit and the other dark.

In those screenshots the very best graphics mods were used (better textures, shaders, and draw distance) and true, it wouldn't have run on the XBox, Even a 360 would probably have had trouble.

You'd think they'd give consoles more memory by now.

The main reason I play Xbox is for the controller… which is kinda silly considering I could get a 30 dollar usb thing for my computer to use it.

Actually, even with stock graphics Morrowind looked better on PC IMO. Although resolution plays a part there… I just showed it with mods because the TES series has a lot of very good mods for it. Even if the same resources are used, PC wins with graphics because 1024x600~ upscaled to 1280x720 then stretched to whatever your TV's resolution is with no AA will always lose to 1920x1080 or 2560x1440 or whatever your monitor is with 8xAA.

Isn't 256MB of RAM wonderful? Although even with more RAM/VRAM they would still get eaten alive by a decent PC. Of course the very little memory doesn't exactly help…

Or you could just plug your XBOX 360 or PS3 controller into your computer and use it since it sounds like you already have a console.

I also seriously hope you never play FPS games. And especially not RTS ror any kind of strategy games….

Although for stuff like fighters and platformers I whole-heartedly agree.

Singleplayer or co-op. Honestly most online games are far too competitive, filled with doucheteabaggers and poor sports. I *like* multiplayer, but players usually ruin it for me. Only game that's looked remotely decent is the new Final Fantasy. I've never played Final Fantasy. It's just an RPG, and I haven't played any RPGs in a while, and really the only things I like to play on consoles fall into the action RPG area. Besides, I just don't know of a lot of native 360 titles that I'd quickly buy. Most are generic shooters (fuck FPSs) or have little to no story/character.

…Hence my quick purchase of Rune Factory.

Why the hell did you buy a 360 instead of a PS3 then?! Or was it free?

Do you think an i3 processor with GT240M, and 3GB RAM will do?

Play with a party of friends, even when I'm doing bad in a match, it's always still fun to be in a party of people. Because when something absolutely rediculous happens, or someone is just being an ass on your team, party members always help make it laughable, or make it seem a lot more bearable.

Also, I think you're being a little picky with your games, no games are perfect, plus there's tons of good games coming out even if you aren't a shooter fan.

Batman Arkham City alone is a game that'd consume a lot of time and is supposed to be better than Arkham Asylum in every way and AA was excellent. You could enjoy it regardless if you're a comic/superhero fan or not. I enjoyed Arkham Asylum, it's even one of my favorite games still and I usually could care less about comic book/superhero games or comic books in general. And from what I'm hearing, Arkham City topped it in every single way, getting near perfect scores.

the fps genre is being unfairly treated, and I'm going to blame call of duty for this one. Ever since the original MW came out, the genre has been overly crowded with military shooters, filled with 5 hour campaigns with nothing but michael bay explosions and shit flying everywhere on your screen.

Maybe you should give games more of a chance and try them before you judge them. If you keep doing that, you're going to miss out on some good games that you might enjoy.

I remember when I first played Bioshock, Left 4 Dead, Fallout, and Assassin's Creed, I thought they were all horseshit games, then I actually tried them for more than a half an hour, and now I love all of them.

And sometimes games don't need complicated stories to be great, Super Mario, Left 4 Dead, Fallout barely have stories, and are still pretty cool games.

Stop naming games with better ports on PC, JID.

Any 360-exclusive games?

Uh… not too well. No desktop?

And why 3gb? 2x1gb+2x512mb? Or do you have 2x2gb but are using a 32 bit OS?
