I've been experimenting with the D3D functions in GM a bit in the past, and decided to see if you can make something that looks decently modern and slick with the basic drawing functions.
I decided to make the game look stylish by adding some very potent light sources and a neat film effect and colours that are rather pale, to get a feeling that you're watching one of those old movies with crazy sci-fi setting with tiny modelships and cut in special effects. Here's what I got: The game is actually finished already, but I can't release it yet. I promised the people who have pre-ordered my game Akuchizoku to get the game two weeks in advance. So there'll be a while before I release it.You can always donate a buck or two if you want it now, together with the full version of afformentioned game. Just visit my site and click a donate button.
On your website if you try downloading the game "The Birthday" it downloads the game "The Design", or maybe I'm just being stupid?
This is one of the greatest games ever (certainly one of your greatest). Everybody should preorder Akuchizoku and join in the fun.
@Nathan: Thanks for telling me! I fixed it now :)
@Jabby: Glad you like it!Dude, your a freaking god in GM =P
Potent light sources? Don't tell me Mark added intensity in GM7?
Yeah it's sexy.
Nice graphics! The sreen resolution looks preety PSP-like.
Who are those 'Lebedev' and 'Popov' by the way?
