Online Turn Based RPG

SPECTRE

This is my latest little project. It should be finished fairly soon, and is a turn based RPG that can be played by one or two players (via internet).

It's extremely oldschool, with grid based movement small static sprites and cool music. You get to level up your character's health and power by gaining experience points from killing enemies. And when you're not killing slimy creatures, you're solving various puzzles in an adventurous and mysterious manner.

The story revolves around a space patrol officer who receives an old distress signal from a planet called "Spectre". When he arrives at the space colony on Spectre, the place seems completely deserted… Except for the local wildlife which seems unusually vicious. Your mission is to find out the origin of the distress signal, and what has happened to the people that used to live here.

Here's a few screens that you can look at while I keep working on the game:

The Title Screen

The Patrol Ship

A Battle in Action

About a release date… Well, as usual; don't hold your breath. It'll be done when it's done. I've got about 50% of the game done already, so it shouldn't take too long, though ;)

Well, not too ruin your dance, t-dog, but you could've been one step closer if you'd said Megazeux ;)

Man, that looks unbelievably cool. You make great games, so I have a lot of faith in this.

I've always loved these old-school overhead RPGs.

the only thing i don't like is the hud and the font. use adore64 or something. that's minor stuff though. otherwise, this game looks great and it's soon to be on my favorites list for sure

Really? I like that font a lot.
