i watched some neat movies this week. i'd like to recommend them to yous.

first up, Kick Ass was by far the best superhero movie i've ever seen. it's realistic environment and real-like characters made the story so much more relatable and thrilling. i liked all the characters and the overall expression of the film. acting was done very nicely. for the most part it wasn't too predictable, at least when compared to other superhero films but it did follow a familiar pattern. even still i highly recommend this movie as it's already become a favorite of mine.

next up, Hang Over 2. an insanely awesome movie. one of the funniest movies i've ever seen, it even tops the original. in most cases, i would complain about a movie doing the same thing twice in a row, but in this case, it seem to make the movie even funner. it really didn't disappoint at all.

the last movie i want to recommend is HouseBroken. starring Danny Devito and a few other nobodies, this movie took me by surprise. i wasn't expecting much when i picked it up at a Blockbuster but it really did impress me on every level. it's an overall funny experience, there was only one scene i didn't like. if your into the kinda humor that the HangOver delivers, you'll probably enjoy this one too.

i also recently bought the album Ritual by The Black Dahlia Murder a modern death-metal band. this album is fucking awesome, if you love extreme metal defiantly pick this one up. they're best album yet!

lmao yeah Blockbusters are still around, hard to find though. they are pretty ridiculous with their "i'ma steal yo moneh" policies, however if you return the movies, it's actually OK. though compared to OnDemand and NetFlix, it is more expensive, however those services aren't available to me at the time so BlockBuster is all i got =P

i don't watch enough movies to bother with NetFlix or any other monthly charging service. however Blockbuster is good for when i DO want to watch a movie, so it works for me. (they got some nice deals though, free movies all month for some special event, as long as you rent one at a time)

Ugh, I hated Kickass. It was somewhat funny, but the acting and story was too cringeworthy for me to enjoy it.

I haven't seen the other two, but I assume Hangover 2 is rubbish.

Though I never saw the first…

i wouldnt call 'Hang Over 2' rubbish, unless you have no sense of humor. if you wanna see a bad comedy movie, see Half Baked lol. also i don't have a fast enough internet connection (nor a legal one) to be a pirate.

i thought the acting in KickAss was decent, except for the little girl, showed no emotion at all but she makes up for it with great stunts.

Kick-Ass was pretty good. The out-of-place sex jokes that they make just for the sake of having sex jokes ("our signal is a giant cock", this didn't even make sense in the story) were ignorant, but otherwise it was pretty good. I think my favorite part was when they introduced HG (that "lalalalala" soundtrack was hilarious); followed closely by Nicolas Cage shooting a little girl.

I thought it was terrible. Scott Pilgrim was much more watchable.

i've thought about seeing Scott Pilgrim but i'm still considering it… o_o

EDIT: my problem with the movie for Scott Pilgrim is the damn main actor… i hate that douche. seriously i didn't like one movie he was in, and i hate him as an actor. bores the hell outta me.
