Edit: Steam has removed the game. However, the google docs link still works.
This is probably the greatest thing I have ever seen. Everyone should give it a thumbs up so it actually gets put on steam.House Fire Simulator 2013 - on SteamHere's a link to the "Horrible Build" (according to the developer):Download from Google DocsHe will make a "final build" if the game gets approved. This guy is working to achieve what so many of us tried to do…First we tried to learn to use GM, and realized it was too hard. Some of us then went to the GMC and asked someone to make a game for us, and we'd put them in the game's credits (I personally skipped this step, as I wasn't smart enough to come up with such enticing ways for people to make me a game). Finally, we realized that the examples on Mark's page (back before yoyo…Evidently the examples are still available on yoyo), and find sprites online, and decided to change the sprites, rename the file, and call the game complete. At this point, you're sitting on a completed game. You dream of becoming famous. You can't even comprehend how many people will play your game, once you send it to Mark to put on his page. Imagine how popular you'll be when you submit it to the GMG, and Juju reviews it as the greatest game he's ever seen. This is the crowning achievement of your 11 year old life, and you are ecstatic. At one point, I think Tankoz was on Mark's site…Or maybe it was a different game, I can't even remember. You begin to think that if you managed to re-write this game in those mysterious languages that professionals use, like "Pascal", "C++", or "HTML", you could even get this game hosted in the big leagues, like gamehippo!Now-a-days, you have Steam. Steam is the new version of having your game on (the now defunct) gamehippo (which I doubt anyone even knew of). And it's bigger than it too.So please, if you have a steam account, vote for this game. Help this developer achieve what we never could, with our Click the Clown, and 1945 remakes. _____________________Edit: The developer is updating the game comments a lot, so I added the link to the game.
My favourite game I saw on greenlight was "Space Gaben: Episode one".
It got banned rather fast. Here are some other potentially amusing ones.I don't want greenlight to just turn into a troll fest though. Like Steve said, it would be a shame if Valve had second thoughts as a result.@marbs: I literally laughed nonstop for five minutes after seeing that. My lungs hurt.
Holy fucking shit.
Epilepsy warning.
Epilepsy is an urban myth.
More thought was put into Sanic than most of the Sonic games made in the past 10 years.
You know, indie games in the 90's used to be so much
You know what, the indie scene was always utter batshit insanity.coolermore badassmore polishedHeh, there's quite a few GM games in there, eh.
I'm pretty sure I just saw one of those FPS tutorial edits there… Lost something.exe, it was called…
There are games on Steam that were made with GM and made it through the old process that are still available to buy :P
