Darn Gamemaker! and darn Vista!
So I got this brand new Compaq laptop last month (3GB ram, 2.0 Ghz dual core, 160GB hd, etc.) and it has Vista. And so, Gamemaker has critical problems. When I save a file in gamemaker I cannot access the files that it makes in windows explorer! O_O ITS TERRIBLE! it will effectively end my gamemaker career if their isnt a solution. When the program opens I get an error that says "failed to set data for". its totally lame.Yay for 64digits… i was worried for a long time, but this last transfer im afraid has wounded 64digits to the core. I dont kno if we can ever recover… :/Yay for Prom!
Go with wonderful C++, or perhaps give Python a try!
Learn C or C++. They're harder but, once you get the hang of one, it's not too bad. I'm still learning C++ but it's not THAT bad.
C# is easier
Who needs electronical gamemaking.
Yous can play wid the world in your brain-stain. =DAnd I'm sorry, I read that as 'Yay for Pr0n!'wow lol… <_>
well its a good thing I happen to own visual studio… but c++ is just more work!!! no bueno…anyone know a way to get macromedia flash for free?Is Vista really that much slower than XP, because I had XP and now I have Vista and personally I think my computer got faster…
torrent is sooo freakin slow, i got it once and it was like 15kb a sec or whatever… lame.
yea i thought about xp, but I would have to get pretty desperate. I might just go without gamemaker and explore other avenues. maybe GM8 when it comes out will be fixed for vista.
