[LotA] Vote for me!

Posted by omicron1 on April 10, 2007, 10:57 a.m.

So there's a contest going on down at Narf Co. The prize is $500, and Lions of the Atlantic is one of the competitors. However, the administration seems to be running something fishy - one of the games (called "Narf Wars") got three votes - before the download link was released. I don't think it deserves to win (it's a simple TDS game), so I have a proposal to all my blog-readers: Vote for LotA in the Narf Co. forums, and I will give you the opportunity to beta-test DoC's upcoming demo. This means that you'd get it up to a week before everyone else, get your names in the credits, and have a chance to suggest things to be added to the game. Don't let a second-rate game carry the day - vote LotA Today!

The standard update: Combat is now ~50% done. Things that have been added:

* Militia and Bowman units now creatable, usable

* Cursor control has been tightened and is now 100% accurate.

* Aggressive, Defensive stances added to the game

* At-a-glance view of multiple units' health points in the interface

I have a couple of screenshots for y'all today, including one of a battle in progress.

…I think you have to log in twice. Once using the "log in" button, and once using the little bar on the top with the username and password areas.
