Hey guys. I just wanted to throw this out there, and see who's interested in, or has time for a music composition competition. Of course, this one would (hopefully) be a lot more organized than the last one, and I'll actually have time to sit down and judge this one, because I don't need to do Wintermester, seeing as I passed all my classes.

An actiony scene would be a bit challenging in my opinion. I'd end up with something really bipolar that just changes every few seconds. I just liked the Jeff Goldblum scene because I had a humorous idea for it. I think the whole clip thing is kinda limiting, though.
I don't like the clip idea. I feel it puts a lot of restrictions on mood, pacing, instrumentation, etc. Just my two cents.
And I also agree that this doesn't really need to be a competition. Like, how are you supposed to judge a hip hop song (I REFUSE to refer to anything hip hop as a piece. Sue me.) compared to an electro dance track compared to a classical composition? It just doesn't make any sense.Alternatively, y'all could make some music and shut up about it.

So we seem to be all in for a CD…but what's this music going to be about? Do we do themes? The clip idea? Free-for-all?
I vote themes. That way we get some restrictions, but plenty of variety too.
My theme suggestion is ROBOTS.
