Mouse trouble

Hello.

I hate my mouse.

It's a microsoft laser 3000 thing-a-majing.

First, it didn't work as a charm, it was acting completely retarded, the cursor jumped around and didn't react really.

I changed batteries.

Yay, I had a working mouse.

For a couple of weeks..

Now, when I was clicking on a link in firefox.. it started to act retarded.. again.

I guess you're wondering; what's the problem now then?

well I'll tell you.. I can't click.

Or I can, if I SMASH the mousebutton (it's only the left one) then it works..

gah, screw optic.. or laser or wireless or whatever, give me a working one.

I made a couple of buttons if anyone wants them..

Although this has nothing to do with the blog (sorry [:P]) we're getting dangerously close to 10,000 blogs. Sucks about the mouse, the only thing I can ever to get is a mouse with a wire on a PC. Any combination of laptop and mouse wheel and wireless = uh oh.

I found a major flaw for the buttons, the buttons don't change depending on distance, they change on the relative value of mouse_y.

10k? Wasn't it like.. 2000 a couple of days ago?

Damn.

I've changed the mouse to a optical mouse, it sucks..

it acts like if it was remote controlled…

siert: yep I know, it's meant to be that way, or is it bad?

You're getting confuzed with the users. There was the 2000th user a couple days ago, but we're coming to the 10,000th blog.

try putting various un-reflective mouse pads/sheets of paper under the mouse.

I tottally agree. Being a laptop user I went and bought a mouse awhile ago, some sort of wireless optical one. It worked great, for about a day when it stopped working and never started again.

Awhile ago, certain substances got spilt on my laptop by my brother's friend *cough* not vodka <roll eyes> *cough*. The keyboard tottally stopped working. He bought me a wireless keyboard & mouse set to make up for it (being the poor student he is). They ran off AA batteries that lasted about a week. I quickly added them to the pile of junk I had collecting at the time.

So now I've given up. I simply don't have a mouse. I just use the sucky touchpad on my laptop. I do not wish to spend any more money on the subject of mice.

And the funniest thing I've noticed, to get a wireless optical mouse that works just as well as an old fashion one, you have to chuck out huge sums of money. Why, Why, WHY, would anyone do that? I don't get it. Go buy a $20 wire + ball mouse instead of a $120 wireless - ball mouse.

Wow my replie is longer than the blog, sorry!

Good ol' ball n' mouse works for me ;)

'cept when you're looking for precision…

also, optical and laser mice don't exactly work with custom mouse pads… i've noticed it jumps around unless the mousepad is uniformly colored and it is not dirty in any way or form
