More updates/mockups/etc

Water: Attempted to fix.

Character classes so far (From left to right):

Original reference character

Swordsman

Dark Knight

Paladin

Dragoon

Older Stuff

I restarted the concept tileset because I didn't like the way the other one was going.

Also, I did so after playing much LoZ (Link to the past, Link's awakening).

So here:

Pixellated Version

I started working at half-res (12x12) then scaled it up to 24x24 and started doing this:

Higher-res version

And I threw in a sample of my character just to see if it could fit in. First person to try make a Final Fantasy style midget for this gets shot. NO EXCUSES. :D

Other artists

If you're going to be helping at all with this, please say so now and tell me what you're doing so I don't end up doing it for you. =P

Don't need a palette in photoshop.

How dare this fall off of the most recent list >:{

@ChIkEn: I always work with a palette, for consistency reasons.

I've also decided that the midget/Minish Cap style characters will work better after testing it a bit. Got another concept. Please bear with the character, I haven't really been spending much time with it.

It helps if <artist X> comes along and wants to add <decor Y> to the existing tileset, and can use the palette to quickly grab the same colors that I used. Consistency.

Could you possibly slice this into the grid needed? (24x24 max size, walls can be 2x tiles "tall")

I still get so happy when I see this blog. =D

The native resolution is 24x24. I just double-scaled it to make it more visible :P (And to mess around with the higher-res versions).

Also, I've been working carefully on adjusting the palette; I'd show screens, but I'm too lazy to use anything except the 64D file-manager. >;3

D= *PUTS IT BACK*

Nah I can't, It'd throw off the backup system :(

That's fine, because the screenshots are on my other USB drive, and I'm also too lazy to walk the 50 meters or so to fetch it.
