@Rez: Exactly. In fact, I never thought of the old Sytro as that cartoony until i looked back at him in comparison to this one. And I wouldn't say I'm going for REALISM, but rather a more SERIOUS look. As for the Ghost Mode, it ties into the story. But basically your spirit is bound to the planet by the main antagonist but early in the game you are given an item that allows you to enter ghost-mode and transform into a point of energy that is ethereal and in this mode you are somewhat weightless, and like a ghost you can 'possess' objects and enemies [as ill later show] for example: possess a lock and 'reanimate' it to unlock it, or possess particular enemies that bear a ghosthook on their bodies [which almost always you'll have to expose with force and possibly possess them into running into a damaging object or use them for some reason, a possession cant last long]
It looks great, though yeah… generic space marines come to mind. Quite honestly, I don't mind. You're a liar if you claim not to enjoy the Contra or Metroid games (Or you haven't tried them).
Of course, now we're going to have to wait even longer for Depths…
I personally like the old Depths guy better too. He just had a really good sillhouette and shape. Although this one is pretty good too, he does look a bit buffed up, lol. I'm sure he'll fit in more once you have the atmosphere and environment stuff all laid out again.
what thernz said.
Whoa! The ghost mode is beautiful
i really like it, but maybe make him a third shorter?

Of course, now we're going to have to wait even longer for Depths…Its… the rigidity that makes it look like Metroid, in a bad way.
The lankiness is killed by him holding the gun like some megaman cannon.all dsg needs to do is give him another arm holding the front half of the gun and that'll change
@Rez: He actually has an arm holding the gun its rightbelow the other, his gloves have a green light on the back of the hand
