Posted by DSG on Nov. 12, 2012, 1:20 p.m.

Hello 64digits! I'm writing this blog on my iPhone, I just got out of class and wanted to get this video up ASAP. Alright, so what I have for you today is a new video showing off a few new enemies and gameplay elements, as well as the new soundtrack to the Maibuu Jungle Ruins :D Without further ado, here's that video, yo.

If the video fails to embed, the URL is:

That's the mobile link but I'm sure you'll get there.

Comments, critique, and suggestions are greatly appreciated!

[EDIT:]

Also, for your enjoyment. Most of you probably won't like this, but eh. whatever.

This looks wonderful in action. Still needs idle animations though, I think.

Also, still waiting on your background/tile tutorial.

Yay!

EDIT:

Amazing graphics as usual. Didn't you used to have bouncing physics in the bridges? I liked the effect you had with the rope bridges. It gave it a nice effect. The stiffness caught me off guard.

Is this just fantasy?

Depths doesn't exist. This video is a forgery and DSG did 9/11.

This is a work of art, man. Can't even fault you if you never release it because I don't know many people who could make a mockup video that looked that good. How's the GM:S porting going?

DSG 12 years ago

Hah thanks ludamad. I'll let you know as soon as I can afford it. But as far as GM:S it's different but I actually like it, it definitely feels like more professional software. I was worried about the YoYo Games takeover but they've delivered. Especially with portability. Mark Overmars is a genius but couldn't bring GM quite to the industry standards that I think YoYo Games is pursuing with such powerful features for developers to utilize like in-app purchases

And yea I did used to have the bouncy bridge ill probably through that back in when I can but for now I'm focused on gameplay.

It's really great stuff, glad you're still working on it.

It just proves that it's not the tool, but the person using the tool. There's nothing wrong with GM if you know how to use it well. You've certainly gone far with this version of Depths. I'll definitely buy the finished product.
