So, Super Meat Boy and Limbo

Old games I know, but I just bought them recently and I enjoy both.

But I like Limbo a shit ton more.

Super Meat Boy is a good game and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes a challenging platformer that will take a few months to beat.

But sometimes, I feel the controls and sometimes broken platforming gets me killed more than anything.

Makes me wanna rage and shit and beat everyone on Team Meat with a fucking pipe.

Limbo, on the other hand is a brilliant and challenging game, but instead of requiring quick reflexes, it requires thinking and problem solving skills to solve some of the game's challenging puzzles.

I can't get enough of either and sometimes I can't decide if I should play the games or keep working on my V4D game, when I have the spare time.

Well, that's all I wanted to share. Try those games if you haven't already.

Welp, back to programming.

I barely survived the spider part. Seeing as though I'm arachnophobic.

Limbo also looks fun. I want to get that eventually as well.

On another note, how many of you use the same username as your Gamertag?

No one.

I just searched the gamertag "JID" on the xbox website and there's someone who has the gamertag, but they have no games, achievements or rep.

I don't know if I would change my Gamertag to LAR Games if given the choice. I mean, use it everywhere, but I still don't know..

I don't go as Eva unit anywhere else but here. Everywhere else I'm known as GunZet. Although I often go by ThirdZ3R0 for certain games, and Sandstorm on any Halo game, lol.

I do, for one.

I don't but I share it with my bro right now. Also… Limbo is a great puzzle adventure game. I can barely stop myself from looking up the ending now that you've mentioned it and I've only played the demo, which leads up to where the spider catches you

On Super Meat Boy, eh… I'm not a fan of games where the controls make it difficult. It's a backwards step in game design but I guess it fills a niche. Even the makers of Dark Souls didn't intentionally make controls difficult. http://makegames.tumblr.com/day/2011/04/26

Jamestown may have been that game someone recommended to me a while back. Is it co-op? If so, I want it.
That was me. You had a blog talking about shmups and I suggested that as well as Cactus' Fractal Fighter. Did you ever get around to playing Fractal Fighter? D:<

I thought Jamestown was ok. Graphics and music were lovely, but game was very short. Even with the extra difficulties, challenges and modes, I didn't want to play it after the 30 minutes of playtime it gave me.

Limbo is quite wonderful, but once again, short. I talked about the game in one of my blogs(although my opinions have since changed slightly), saying that I loved the atmosphere and immersion due to the linear and continuous gameplay (some of the best immersion I've ever experienced in a game), but they really kind of killed that for me near the end, what with the gravity switching puzzles and whatnot. I loved how the game made me really feel like I was in limbo; a dilapidated universe where everything was out to get me.

Super Meat Boy was also good for some straight up fun, but I've kind of grown sick of the recurrence of ruthless difficulty in games, and as far as twitch platformers go, the flash game, N, is one of the few I tolerate anymore (mostly due to its smooth controls).

Nightsky is pretty nice. As a whole, the experience might be a bit uninteresting, and it's decent, as a game. But, that said, it's definitely the best ball rolling game there is. I talked about this game in an old blog post of mine also :P

See, the thing about Nightsky, is that after playing SMB and stuff of that sort, Nightsky is a godsend for the nerves.
