[warning=Spaz]This user just overloaded, and spazzed across this blog entry. Don't get him angrier. He'll explode.[/warning]Yes I said it. Mario sucks. No not all newer 3d ones, theyre cool. The old side scrolling ones. I dont see anything thats fun with them, even when they first came out. I mean all you do is run and jump on mushrooms. Oh and in some levels you fly or swim, which is basically swimming without water.
OH BOY! FIREBALLS! Yea thats exciting, they move about 5cm a second. The enemy better not move for the next 30 minutes or Ill miss. DAMN YOU NINTENDO!And can the story get any more dumb? You finally beat a level only to find the princess is in another castle! How does the princess get captured every month? And how the hell does bowser keep coming back?? I mean mario beats him in every game right? BUT THERES ABOUT 100 IDENTICAL MARIO GAMES OUT. Oh cool a new mario game for the DS. Oh wait, ITS THE SAME FRIKIN THING I CAN GET ON THE NES THAT I ALREADY HAVE! THATS DEFINETELY WORTH MY MONEY.Hmmm what else do I hate about mario? Whats the point in collecting stars/coins? They offer no real value except for getting 'points'. If theres a currency in a game, I want to be able to buy things with it.Now dont get me wrong, I hate all these new shooters that have all these fancy graphics and thats it. But at least they havent been made 100 billion times(except for WW2 games, they can go to hell).Oh the only thing I hate more than mario is megaman. Even more retarded but I felt like hating mario atm.Yea thats it for now. I expect alot of hate posts for this…
Okay, first off, what do you have against Barbie Adventure Horse? I love that game!
Oh, wait, we're talking about Mario? Well, dude, first off, all the new ones blow, honestly. Now, I honestly think that the mario games for the SNES are fun. I fid them enjoyable, and inspiring almost. The NES one is okay, not very fun, but for it's time it was excellent. But, back to the SNES ones: They inspire me because I am at a level in programming where I make games at about that level. When I see the fun in it, and all the fun that can be had in 2d, it makes me think I can do something like that. Now, that's the same reason that I like doom 1 and 2, because they do sort of suck to today's standards, but it's at the level of programming I am at. Not to mention doom 2 is fun. Seriously though, if you are looking for shitty old games, look at the ps1. In that day and age, everyone thought they were great at 3d, but all the models and collisions were clunky, and they were all unoriginal pretty much.[ / counter-rant ]Dude, they're classics. Respect 'em ;)
I luv Megaman, but I really care not for all those people who bash it mindlessly, so there's nothing you can do to anger me in that aspect. As for Mario, yes it WAS revolutionary back then, that's why it's so popular. Some of us still get entertained by the old classics, so does it really matter how old/overdone they are?I guess my argument is pointless. I fail to see the fun in older mario games. I just dont see whats fun about running anf jumping, maybe thats why I hated jumper so much. But then again alot of people did, this is one thing I wont understand.
Oh well, Ill stop arguing now. And no, I wont stop hating old mario games.Jumper sucked. Thats why anyone who hates it hates it.
You need to play Super Mario World and Super Mario World 2. You'll do a bit more than running and jumping in those. And if you want to play a Mario game that has good puzzles go for the GB version of Donkey Kong.Kaz gets this for saying he doesn't like Mario, but what if he said he didn't like Pac-Man? Everyone would be all ho-hum.
jumper does suck…
w00t w00t!
if he didn't like pac-man i would kill him personally… i would look for him and shoot him right in the head, but i really don't adore mario like i adore pacman…
Ha, I forgot about you, mrpacman. A better example would have been pong. No likes the original pong.
i <3 my snes
