Supposedly a complete rewrite and will sport a ton of new features. No information on what these new features actually are, so guess we'll just have to stay tuned.What I'm excited about though is that Game Maker 9 will be available for both PC and Mac. Given that the vast majority of software made it over unscathed and how applications interact with the OS is clearly documented, I'm going to go out on a limb here and blame GM, not windows. Relying on undocumented or deprecated API functionality is never a good idea.
Thats what i was meaning. If windows changes then GM takes a lot longer to accommodate. At least in the past thats what happened.
If there was more 3D support and speed improvements, I wouldn't hesitate to spend more.
