Hey guys. I'm sure a few of you have heard of this but just in case you haven't:
Indie Game: The Movie is in the final stages of production and they just released an official trailer. I'm one of the official backers of the movie and I just wanted to share it with you guys. It follows the creators of Braid, Fez, and Super Meat Boy throughout production and their psychological states during production as well as what independent gaming means to them and why they do what they do. It's really looking great so far and I think you all should check out the trailer on their site if you have some time today.Official Site:http://www.indiegamethemovie.com/Trailer on Vimeo:http://vimeo.com/25268139
I like it.
Yeah!
The only thing better than this would be a movie about us!Wow, I want to see that.
I'd love to see this, thank you so much for sharing this.

Looks great.
This is dumb.
Not only it's a bad idea for a movie, it helps reinforce the position of the uncreative and overrated Super Meat Boy, the forever-in-development-hell Fez, and the independent-but-take-a-look-at-the-freaking-budget Braid as the model for indie games. And how do we make a good trailer for this? That's right, we get a guy who looks better than his game to make a concentration camp "joke".P.s. And if you don't like my opinion, don't take it too seriously.Quite frankly, I don't think the orientation for the movie seems all that great (or at least how the trailer makes it look). It's obvious you've taken the 'emotional' and 'personal' approach, whereas I don't see a whole lot of love for the game development and creative process itself.
I wish you would have instead focused on the developers that 'started' the indie craze, although it's understandable that obtaining footage of that development is, well, impossible.Couldn't really tell from the trailer whether or not the indie 'hipster' approach was taken, but hopefully the fact that Cactus wasn't involved means that the approach wasn't taken.Yep.
But I still want to see it.I haven't seen a Docu that would entertain me since the last Mike Moore film.So ironic…
