> Taizen Chisou: host a compoi'm sorry, but whatSo, RPG comp?Any people in support of the existence of one?Any people in support of someone else hosting?Someone else please host or I'll have to do it and it'll be a sad day.MY HYPOTHETICAL RULES IN THE CASE NO ONE IS A COOL DUDE AND VOLUNTEERS TO HOST:- teams of seven or less- all contributors are to be listed as a 'team member' —–that is to say that Random Dude From Internet Who Donated A Sprite takes up one of your seven spaces- runs from Sunday, 22 April to Sunday, 1 July (that is nine weeks.)- at least one hour of gameplay (with a beginning, middle, end, story, etc. etc. etc.)- not strictly RPG, but RPG elements are requiredAnd that's it.I personally would love to have an RPG competition on the site, I think it'd get me to actually make one. But we know how good of a track record I have when it comes to competition entries.Which is another point-do you think anyone could complete an entry?Any ideas?
Why do I sneeze whenever I read the word "fool"?
I was planning on hosting an arcade game compo in may. Though, of course I would see to the circumstances on whether it is a decent idea or not. I guess mine would be relatively short compared to an RPG compo, so they could be seperate.
Mine might be a very short, open-source arcade game compo, but that shouldnt stop a, lets say, more official competition to take place.I like the mandatory 4-man team idea.
How about this:-3-month RPG Collab Competition-1st May to 1st August (omg my birthday)-Goal is to make an RPG in a team of 4 people.-If you don't declare your team, a team will be made for you.Yeah, I wouldn't mind being the music/story guy on a team.
How about teams of up to four then, in case someone really wants to work alone. But you can still ask to be put in a team randomly.
So you state eitherA. I want to be in a team called XXXXXXXX with YYYYYYYY (up to 4 64digits members)…B. I want to be put in a random teamC. I want to work aloneThis is a great idea. I'm too busy for something of this magnitude, but I'm really excited to see what comes out of it.
I'd likely be working alone. But if not, I'd go with Cyrus or Purianite. And preferably a graphics artist.
Same. I can program and compose a bit, and I have a friend who can do exactly the same as me
Oh, and on a side-note: can you work out an idea of an RPG (storyline, characters, areas, etc), before starting the actual work (programming, spriting, composing) for the competition?but better, but neither of us can sprite very well. Mega/Mush, you are hereby declared as a graphic artist.
