64D Spring Competition Info Blog

I want to keep an open communication between myself and all of you for the duration of the initial setup and execution of the 64Digits Spring Competition. I'm going to be using this as a sort of training grounds for the full on GAME JAM I'm going to be hosting later this year, OHJAM (which is a separate entity from this competition).

Let me know if you have anything to add or have any questions on anything!

I respond better to facebook or twitter messages.

I'm heavily considering entering, though I don't know what all I'll have time for this spring. I may just team up with someone to help with music if time doesn't permit me to carry out a big project. At any rate, I guess I should go ahead and sign up anyway and see where I am in a couple weeks. I look forward to seeing what this competition brings! The unity sponsorship is exciting and I hope to see some cool projects come out of this.

I CALL DIBS ON AERON.

I don't know what I'm making yet BUT I CALL AERON.

Now who wants to model my nonexistent idea….

I'm gonna do the same as aeron. If anyone would like some music dibs me up.

Kilin, I'll model, if you'll have me.

You all can still team up, just let me know first. And please try not to switch 7 times - that'll be confusing and annoying! :P

But yeah, just let me know, and I'll update the list!

CHECK OUT THE SITE HERE

I need feedback on the current site. Once I get the final version, one of the mods will put it up as the official page for the competition.

Snazzy looking. Reminds me of the 7DFPS website (Same font, by the looks of it). Very clean :P

I was wondering why it was showing me the wrong time, but it's because it doesn't account for Daylight Savings. That's actually a pretty good idea. I'll add that in later.

Edit: Maybe we can get some hardware as prizes. Looking into gaming peripheral brands. (Gaming mice, keyboards, headsets, etc…) Note: People outside of US and Canada, hardware isn't usually something that will be shipped overseas in contests like these - I can ask, but I can't make any promises. And THAT's if we even get someone who wants to sponsor the event.
