S4D Mini Progress Reports

This blog is for posting small bits and pieces of progress you've made; anything that you feel doesn't warrant an entirely new blog.

And try to comment on other people's work a bit too! Feedback is going to be very useful during the course of this competition!

Is this game supposed to be a horror game or erotic? I have the most confused boner right now.

^read that laugh in scooby doos voice

that monster moves really fluidly in that gif, moikle. nice job!

heh while playing around with it I like to slowly widen the beam from zero, while facing the monster. I imagine that the character is opening his trenchcoat to reveal himself to the monster, who is subsequently blinded by the beauty of his naked body.

@rez

thanks :D

It is rendered from a 3d model, so it shouldn't be too hard for me to re render it at double the framerate, to make it even smoother (I am going to need to re render it anyway because his left foot sinks into the floor)

My second attempt in life at modeling a 3D human: at the basic hand modeling stage.

I also encountered the 20 sprite cap for unregistered GM studio
You know they made the standard version free, right?

It has an annoying splash image, if I remember. And yet to remove that splash costs $100? Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong. I was lucky to get GMS Professional way before this shit happened.

I think it is only limited now in the respect that you can't export to all platforms or use the YYC/compiler thingy. Edit: Kilin, you seem to be right about the splash screen. There's also some unnecessary features missing, I think Professional was free for a week or something earlier this year. Here's the comparison chart

Oh and uh, boom.
