This blog is for posting small bits and pieces of progress you've made; anything that you feel doesn't warrant an entirely new blog.
And try to comment on other people's work a bit too! Feedback is going to be very useful during the course of this competition!
GOD DAMMIT ZAC I HAVE A PATENT FILED FOR NIPPLE TORCHES!
I'll see you in court!oh and about your hand. If you are going low poly, you it shouldn't often be necessary to model each finger individually, I would combine the middle, ring and pinky fingers into one, and have the index separated so they can point/pull triggers etc@taco, yeah,I hadn't registered it, so I deleted my licence file and registered. it works now :DI'm going high poly ;) RIP all the computers of 64Digits.
jk, but the real answer- I'm attempting to learn how to sculpt and then bake normals to a lower poly model. We'll see how that goes. I don't think I can afford to spend time doing that for anything else other than this character.ah nice, it can be tricky to get right, but looks really good once you do.
although sometimes low poly looks better with no normal maps, you have to judge what looks best for your modelTurned the background concept I did at work into a fully-formed background. Need to work on some tiles next…
I made a tile map object in C++
