Today marks the end of the first month. How are you guys holding up to the deadline? Remember, the first completition deadline is one month away. You're halfway there. However, just remember that this deadline is not the final deadline, but you are expected to have a playable, mostly complete game to submit. After it goes through a few selected judges, you'll be given one additional month to work. You should be using this month for tying loose ends and general polish. Further extensions will probably not be given.
Also, for those of you who may not have seen, we've got Joe from IndieBundle.org over here. He'll be keeping an eye on progress and polish, as well as entering the completition himself. As always, if you feel you won't be ready for the bundle, please let me know, and if you're one of those who doesn't have time to finish the completition at all, let me know so I can move your name off the list.Or you know, choose something less ambitious. We've had 1-month comps before that worked well. And I'm pretty sure the guys over at IUP wouldn't mind a few smaller games as long as they're of decent quality.

What Juurian said.
@Mega: RPGM2000 was awesome. I made some of my first games on there! I see from your latest screenshot the use of black space. I actually have an RMXP project that I worked on heavily quite a few years ago and have just recently hoped to bring back and finish up. Shameless plug, but here is the IndieDB link: http://www.indiedb.com/games/hero-of-legends
Looks interesting enough.
Anyway, my first big hurdle with this new game is the monsters and battle screens. I can't skimp on quality, so I'm 'painting' them. My hands and I have come to an agreement over the matter. They allow me to paint one thing a day for the next month, and then they cease functioning…I really need a graphics tablet…Difficulty edits! I don't have an awful lot to show, save for some new half-baked
I've got this one that the fourth midboss pulls out after Mysterious Angular Rain, that has to be seen in motion to be believed. I'm drawing a little bit of inspiration from Touhou 14 ahaha.Other than that, Chaos Weapon has been stealing most of my attention this week. I'm not going to apologize, though, because I really really want to work on it.I just can't enter with it because of the ludicrous amounts of resources the game contains.spellcardsMood Charges that are horribly broken. Less broken, of course, than the shit they're replacing, but they still need lots of work. It's difficult to remember at times that the pretty patterns need to remain doable. Here we go, more screenshots.
As an attempt to rescue my project and turn it into something I'll be more satisfied with, I've pretty much restarted it, this time starting with graphics…
…we'll see how this turns out. This week I added DirectX 12 features to the game and finished the 32 hour main quest. By the end of this week I aim to make it fully compatible with the PS4 and Xbox One, and translate it into 13 languages. An important feature of this game will be the realistic effects of the ingame drugs. This is achieved by shipping the game with an arsenal of more drugs than the player could physically ever use, which the player is encouraged to take to compliment the experience of the game.
